karuna meets kani-an emotional meeting

The former chief minister
of Tamil Nadu and father
of DMK MP Kanimozhi was
in Delhi yesterday to meet
his daughter at the Tihar
Jail where she is lodged
along with other accused
in the 2G scam case, A
Raja, Sharad Kumar among
others.
Karunanidhi was
accompanied by his wife
Rajathi Ammal, M K Alagiri,
Duraimurugan, K
Pondmudi, E V Velu and K
Shanmuganathan. Though
only the first two were
allowed the others were
asked to wait outside. The
meeting lasted for around
20 minutes where A Raja
and Sharad Kumar were
also present.
The meeting was
emotional and the DMK
patriarch promised his
wife and daughter that
top lawyers will be roped
in to get Kanimozhi out of
jail.
The meeting was arranged
in the wake of Supreme
Court denying bail for
Kanimozhi on Monday.
