Movie Review: Don 2 is a classic action/crime thriller that doesn't let go, even for a moment. More importantly, the plot has been finely crafted, with every twist and turn falling into place like a complicated albeit neat little jigsaw. With a canvas that goes on a cross-country ride -- Thailand, Malaysia, Zurich, Berlin -- the film challenges you to hop aboard its high speed scuttle and attentively follow the exploits of its glamorous gangster. One who oscillates between two avatars -- Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible) and James Bond -- without losing out on his desi charisma.

The high point of the film is Shah Rukh's delineation of the character of the Don. The actor interprets him as an arrogant, agile, wicked and wild dare-devil who has the most bizarre schemes up his sleeves. But that's not all. He also has the chutzpah to carry them through. Taking off from the climax of the first film, the gangster resurfaces in Thailand after a suitable time span, creates mayhem and then, in an unprecedented and inexplicable move, surrenders before his old enemies (cop Roma), only to be sent to a Malaysianprison. Get ready for a breath taking prison-break sequence, where our maverick escapes with another old foe, Vardhan ( Boman Irani). The rest of the film is essentially the execution of a meticulous plan where the duo chooses to rob the Germans of their currency plates. Easier said than done, but with the devious Don, rest assured, no mission is an impossible mission. Shah Rukh remains in command and never loses his foothold, neither through the dramatic sequences nor through the action cuts. But of course, didn't we know the actor always loved playing wicked despite his romantic hero image. Remember Darr and Baazigar, two of his unforgettable films?

Action is the other alluring selling point of Farhan Akhtar's film. The chases, the fights, the demolition, destruction, break-ins, escapes have all been done with a finesse that rivals the best of Hollywood. Watch the car chase between Priyanka and Shah Rukh and you'll get the point. It's not only high voltage that drips with passion which makes it seem almost like foreplay. The other notable sequences include the heist, the escape and Shah Rukh's larger-than-life leap from a high-rise while his assassin wrings his hands in dismay.

The film does lack a bit on the emotional quotient and human relationships are hardly given a chance to grow. But just when you think it's all sound and fury, there's a sensuous tango between Roma and the Don as the cop opts to help the gangster she once loved and the gangster is determined to save his junglee billi (wild cat), any which way. A word about the dialogues: brilliant. A word about the music: mediocre (Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy).

Rajanna Review – Rajanna Movie Review, Rating, Telugu Movie: This film is touted to be the comeback film of director Vijayendra Prasad who made his debut as director with Arthangi in 1996. The film was made on the real life incidents in Telangana region during the Nizam rule. The movie is laced with sentiment, emotions and patriotism.Nagarjuna Akkineni produced the film on Annapurna Studios banner. Here is the review of Rajanna.

Story:

The story of the film revolves around the central character Mallamma, an orphan girl who is being raised by an old man. The girl has a passion to sing and that has been strongly opposed by the Dorasani of the village as she feels that her songs have some intense emotion which can turn the entire village against her. But, poor girl couldn’t stop singing and as a result the dorasani kills the old man, locks the girl inside the house and set it ablaze. The girl escapes the mishap with the help of a music teacher and makes her way to Delhi to meet the then Prime Minister of India Jawahar Lal Nehru to complain against the atrocities of dorasani. The rest of the movie is all about how the girl meets the Prime Minister and fulfills the villagers and Rajanna’s wish.

Analysis:

The movie opens and concludes with a voiceover from Akkineni Nageswara Rao. The first hour of the film is narrated well with heavy sentiment scenes. The introduction of Nagarjuna is a bit late and will be exactly 10 minutes before the interval. The film offers lot of human emotions, patriotism and sentiment which are depicted in a convincing manner. The plot of the film is interesting and laudable. The director could have done better home work at the end.

The second half of the film slowly picks up post interval and leaves a good impression. The power packed dialogues and action episodes are a treat to watch on screen. We can see the mark of Rajamouli in action episodes and couple of songs. Gijigaadu and Veyyi Ra Veyyi songs are the best songs of the film. The screenplay of the film is predictable and lacks the wow factor. The Telangana accent of Nagarjuna is good. Keeravani needs a special mention for his wonderful background score and soundtrack. Overall, the film is watchable for decent performances from the lead star cast.

Performance:

The role played by Nagarjuna as Rajanna is suave and powerful. His histrionics will surely amuse his fans after long time. Pradeep Rawat, Ajay, Nassar, Supreeth and ‘Sye’ Chotu are good in their roles. Sneha is adequate as Lachuvamma. Baby Annie as Mallamma is the show stealer of the film. Her stellar performance is the backbone of the film. Keeravani brings the soul to the film with his wonderful background score and songs. Swetha Menon has delivered her best in a negative role. Mukesh Rishi has a limited role to play. Telangana Sakuntala is just ok.

Technicalities:

The cinematography by Shyam K Naidu is excellent. Graphics are tawdry. This is undoubtedly one of the best works of Keeravani in recent times. The art director has done a brilliant job in bringing out the nativity factor during Nizam era. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is up to the mark. The director’s choice of script  is good but the execution part could have be better.

Story :

On other hand Ananya, an engineering passout comes to city from a village for an interview and situation leads her to take the help of a strange Sarvanand to locate the company. Initially she is reluctant, but slowly gets acquanited and starts admiring him.After completing the interview, Ananya returns to village but her thoughts revolve around saravanand. sarvanand too wants to see her and express his love.  Ananya comes to City  in search of her lover. At the same time, Sarvanand decides to go to Village to hold the hands of Ananya.

What destiny has is – a life-changing accident at a small village ! And, the two couples meet at this point to give a big twist in the story.

What happens next forms the rest pf the story !!!

Performances :

Jai’s performance was really very very awesome ..He has a very good potential with wonderful acting

Sharvanand – Another, good show of acting skill in this film. He perfectly fits that IT guy, and all those expressions come to him and he shows it at ease.

Ananya – She adds big strength to the humourous track of the story with her energetic acting!

Anjali – Yet another simple and neat performance from this young girl, and yes the girl definitely brings love in the air with her eyes and facial expressions.

Other characters also fit the bill with their underplay acting. Others sure make a mark but stand nothing before the performance and dominance of the four lead characters.

Technical Performances :

Hats off to director M. Saravanan, a student from the school of A R Murugadoss for his well written screenplay with a never told, simple story, delivered in a novel way, but as clear as water! And, characterization work also is excellent!

Screenplay is good , cinematography was excellent ..costumes were good enough and music by sathya was good.

Editing is good. But, could have given more cuts in the first half and at places in the second. Nevertheless, Anthony has worked understandingly

Story :

Jay(pawan kalyan) in his early age who lost his mother and sister gets shelter by a gangster Bhagawan ( Jackie Shroff).Jay will be a loyal and trusted man in his gang.Sabhapati( Paruchuri Venkateshwar Rao),Guru ( Tanikella Bharani ) are also the part of Bhagawan gang.When Bhagawan son Munna (Sesh Adavi) a sadist and drug addict arrives from abroad and ill-treats everyone in the gang.Jay kills Munna when he tries to kill Jay friend Jahnavi( Anjali Laviana).Jay leaves Calcutta and Bhagawan moves to his girlfriend Sandhya ( Sara Jane Dais) village in Andhra Pradesh.How Bhagavan reacted on Jay for killing his son is the rest of the story.

Artist Performance:

Pawan Kalyan with beard looked different.He is stylish in action scenes and songs.His performance is the main asset for the film.Sarah Jane Dias is pretty but her performance is just ok lacked glamour.Anjali Lavania has a brief role sizzled in club song.Jackie Shroff as a gangster is good. Tanikella Bharani, Paruchuri Venkateshwar Rao,Atul Kularni are ok in thier roles.Sesh Adavi as a sadistic villain excelled well.Ali, Pawan Kalyan combo didn’t repeat thier combo.Brahmanandam as paparayudu gives us good entertainment.

Analysis:

First half starts of in a slow phase with calcutta backdrop,there is no hype for Hero intro director concentrated more to project in a simple way with stylish narration.Ela.. Ela Song in the first half is good melody with good picturisation.Interval action scenes picturised stylishly.There are some dragging moments Hero- Heroine
love scenes did not connect well.Lacked glamour quotient.Ali,Pawan combo is just ok compared to their previous films roles.

Second half moves to Heroine village in AP,The village atmosphere is picturesque ,Bramhananda,Pawan kalyan scenes are hillarious Paparayudu song is good Pawan Klayan danced well to his trade mark theen mar steps.Second half is better than the first half.Subbaraju,Jhansi comedy did not appeal.

Dialogues by Abburi Ravi succeeded in presenting a stylish movie but lacked to continue the tempo and intensity through out the movie.Yuvan Re-Recording is good.Couple of dialogues by Abburi Ravi are good.Producers didn’t stick to a regular format of films and they should be appreciated,production values are good.

bezawada movie review :

Story

Kaali Prasad (Prabhu) is a top gangster in Vijayawada. His brother Shankar (Abhimanyu Singh) wants to get into his brother’s shoes but Kaali always prefers another follower Vijay Krishna (Mukul Dev). To gain the supremacy, Shankar murders Kaali Prasad in a conspiracy and subsequently kills Vijay Krishna too. Shiva Krishna (Naga Chaitanya), a college student and younger brother of Vijay Krishna enters the scene and tries to take revenge on Shankar. How he does that and what are the hurdles he encounters in this process forms the rest of the story.

Analysis

Bejawada movie is an absolute crap! Debutant director Vivek Krishna has miserably failed to make in what should have been a thrilling revenge drama. Vivek ended up making a ‘very powerful’ script into a poor fiction anecdote. Thus, Vivek makes Bejawada movie a damp squib in the process of tailoring an action drama. Naga Chaitanya is a huge liability to this movie as he still looks boyish. The killer instincts are clearly missing in him as the lead character looks pale right from the word go. 

Bejawada movie lacks the required rigour and tempo. When a movie is tipped to be a revenge action drama, particularly for a famous script, the treatment and storytelling is minimum expected. However, Vivek Krishna’s directorial blunders and Ram Gopal Varma’s CREATIVE INPUTS make the Bezawada movie a ludicrous and absurd script. The screenplay is really awful; the flow of thought is clearly missing as the scenes involving Brahmanandam and Amala Paul look like they have been purposefully inserted.  Naga Chaitanya once again chose a role that’s larger than his life in trying to become an action hero.

TeluguOne Perspective
Almost half the theatre in imax (8:45 show) is empty and 50% of the remaining half left in the middle. Hope this describes enough about the movie. Bejawada film came up with huge expectations but had bite the dust with illogical and side-splitting treatment. You get glimpses of yesteryear blockbuster ‘Shiva’, at various points but there’s world of difference between the two movies. Naga Chaitanya’s dialogue delivery needs to be improved significantly, particularly during high-tempo conversations. At no point he gives the impression that he’s on a mission and we can encapsulate the episode saying that it’s a directorial blooper.

Performances
Naga Chaitanya is a misfit for the character. He should not have essayed this role (which demands lot of action) after his Dhada’ movie disaster. He needs to show lot of character and energy to do action flicks like these. However,  such roles are not advisable to him at this point of his career. Mind you, even Akkineni Nagarjuna did quite a few action movie scripts before starring in ‘Shiva’.

Amala Paul looks as a perfect match to Chaitu but she has a very little role to play and thus was wasted. Abhimanyu Singh and Mukul Dev, Kota, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Ajay are perfect in their roles. But Prabhu looks witty, particularly when he’s dancing.

Final Word
Bejawada movie review: Bezawada movie talk will surely dent Naga Chaitanya’s image. On a concluding note, Bejawada movie looks like an ordinary affair. Poor direction, mistimed songs, etc, etc, etc, tests the audience patience.

Madata khaja review;

Hyderabad: For some reason, Allari Naresh has stuck to his image of being a comedy hero and over the last few years, he has been churning innumerable comedies. Most of them actually work and it's quite natural to expect that his films would be outrageously funny, unless stated otherwise.

The biggest crime a comedy film can commit is pushing the audience into boredom. Madatha Kaja does not commit this crime, yet it is so convoluted that you wish that it actually delivered what you were promised.

We have Kalyan (Allari Naresh) as a police informer in Vizag. He falls in love with Swapna (Sneha Ullal) and after some twists and turns, he manages to impress her. Elsewhere, Nanda (Ashish Vidyarthi) is angry that his two associates JP (Jayprakash Reddy) and KP (Ahuti Prasad) are fighting against each other for supremacy.

So, Nanda decides that KP's daughter, Swapna (Sneha Ullal) should get married to JP's son (Subbaraju). When Kalyan comes to know about it, he hatches an ingenious plot to marry Swapna with the consent of his father. How he does it forms the rest of the story.

Directed by Seetharamaraju, the onus of carrying the entire film falls on Allari Naresh. He does a good job in holding the film together with his comic timing, but he has done much better than this in his previous films.

While some of the comedy scenes, especially those involving Naresh spoofing Pawan Kalyan's body language are hilarious, the film runs short of gags after a while.

The film's plot is simple; however, the manner in which the story unfolds leaves a lot to be desired. Most part of the film has Allari Naresh playing silly mind games with the villains to move the story forward. It's only in the climax that proceedings come alive with few more spoofs.

The biggest problem with the film is except for Allari Naresh, the rest of the actors have weak characterization. Ashish Vidyarthi is fantastic in the climax and his entry towards the end lifts the spirits.

Jayprakash Reddy has played comic villains in several films, yet there are very few scenes where he's allowed to flex his acting muscles. Subbaraju is miscast in the role. Sneha Ullal doesn't even try to emote in her scenes, although she's good in the songs.

Raghu Babu and Ali are good in their roles; however, MS Narayana disappoints. Seetharamaraju could have done a much better job in terms of handling the film's story and screenplay. A little more effort in creating better characters and situations could have worked in favour of the film. Sri Vasanth's music is good.

It's difficult to understand why the film has been named as Madatha Kaja. If it's a metaphor for how Allari Naresh behaves in the film and solves the issues, then the essence has definitely got lost in translation.

It is not a bad film but you expect a lot more from an Allari Naresh's film. Except for few hilarious moments, Madatha Kaja is an average film at best.
