I saw many articles on the web regarding how to find my lost mobile phone?? but all were trash!!! except some websites.. So i have decided to tell people the correct way of finding your lost mobile phone
First of all you must know what is IMEI No. and what is its significance?. IMEI Stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. It is usually unique number, to identify GSM, WCDMA, and iDEN mobile phones, as well as some satellite phones.You can find your unique IMEI No. of you mobile by just typing*#06#.
Better note your IMEI No. , it will be very useful at the time when your mobile has been theft or lost.
Now coming to the second part. In case, when your mobile has been theft you must give a complaint to the
local police in your area or just send an instant email to them

Just like You’re confidence is related to your beauty, strong mind set is related to the success you achieve in your life, similarly, you being fit is related to how do you motivate yourself to get up and go for an exercise and to be fit.

Now, the challenge is how do we motivate ourselves, as we know are strengths and most important the weakness of us as well. So, how do we get rid of the same and make up our mind and in return our body to do something? Well, this is not difficult as much as we think as the root cause to get motivated would again depend upon how we tune our mind. Okay, let’s do this, let’s follow this suggestions given below as to how to get motivated to shed that laziness and gear up for an exercise each day… as only we are fit, we appear more young and beautiful. See, life style and look and interrelated.

Don’t think, just do it.As hard as it is to get yourself to start, you will be happy to know that things get much better as you keep going. The steepest hill to climb over is to start. Once you start, you have conquered the biggest obstacle. This is something that you should be proud of, in and of itself. Once you start, you put the wheels in motion to create momentum, and this momentum is crucial to bring you towards the finish line. But for that to happen, you need to start. So stop finding excuses and ways to delay your start. Choose to start exercising today, and never look back. You will be thankful that you did. Gear up now!

It is not you want, YOU SHOULD. The first thing you need to do is to categorically include exercise into your lifestyle without any maybe’s or but’s. Exercising should be a must within your daily routine. Within your time management, there should always be time allocated to exercising. I can’t stress enough how important this is. For example, a few years ago I decided to go for a coffee shop every day and allocated half an hour of my time to it per day. Before I did that, I was always putting everything else before it, and I never could find the time for it. So instead of trying to fit exercise into your tight schedule, make it a permanent part of it which is non-negotiable, and make other non-productive activities such as watching television secondary to it.

Fitness Freaks, they are for you. If you want to be successful at not only starting but staying active over time, you definitely need to have friends that share this same goal with you. Having a training partner is one of the best ways to get yourself the proper motivation to keep at it day in and day out. Someone with whom you can discuss the good and the bad, the positive and the negative, and that understands you fully is extremely important to your success at staying active. The bottom line is, if you are trying to be active, your non-active friends will never understand what you are going through and they are certainly not the right people that will motivate you to keep going.

See yourself in the Mirror. I have found that most people will pretty much do anything to become more attractive and more desirable. The good news is that you do not have to subject yourself to grueling & potentially dangerous plastic surgery to get the job done. With a little patience and a strong will, you can literally reshape your entire body via exercise. Use this desire of seeking to be more attractive to your advantage and turn it into pure motivation to exercise. Sure, there are tons of reasons why people exercise, but I am certain that 100% do it partly to be more attractive. Looks matter in our current society, and we associate looks with success. Play that card to your own benefit and you will see that you will possess plenty of motivation to keep exercising over time. To motivate you even more, take pictures of yourself on a weekly basis. I guarantee you that the change you will notice in the pictures over a few months will make you want to keep exercising for the rest of your life!

WikiLeaks: a Brief history

Assange was an Australian, born in 1971 in the province of Queensland. Raised to a nomadic lifestyle by his mother, Assange was a largely self-taught computer geek. At 22, he was charged on 31 counts of computer hacking and related crimes, and eventually pled guilty and paid a minimal fine. He was an autodidact on such wide-ranging subjects as physics, math, philosophy, and neuroscience. At 18, he fathered a child, and spent years trying to secure a custody agreement (his mother claimed that the stress caused his hair, which had been dark brown, to turn white)

Assange, a believer in the free movement of information, registered the domain name WikiLeaks.org in 1999. But he didn’t start to use it actively until 2006. That year, he feverishly transformed the website into a secure location for whistleblowers, specifically those who wanted to give secret documents a public airing. As he characterizes it, WikiLeaks was “an uncensorable system for untraceable mass document leaking and public analysis.”The first posting, in December 2006, was a decision (never verified) by a Somali rebel leader to execute government officials. In 2007, Assange announced the formal launch of the site.

Assange was the one to start a relationship with the Guardian. As early as 2007, recalls Editor Rusbridger, he received regular emails from WikiLeaks “editor-in-chief” Assange, sometimes with a good story to tell. On August 31, 2007, the two organizations worked in tandem for the first time. WikiLeaks posted the full text of, and the Guardian ran a story on, a report by the private investigations firm Kroll about the alleged corruption of former Kenyan President Daniel Arap Moi. The Kenyan government had chosen to keep the report secret. The Guardian at that point was the only British paper to write about WikiLeaks or use some of its documents.

In 2008 and 2009, WikiLeaks and the Guardian again crossed paths. On two occasions, the UK high court issued an injunction against the paper’s publication of damning documents, first about Barclays Bank tax avoidance strategies, and second on toxic waste dumping in the Ivory Coast by commodity trader Trafigura. WikiLeaks, whose servers were in Sweden and elsewhere, was not bound by any such injunction. It posted numerous of the court-banned materials online.

But there were also instances in which WikiLeaks published documents it thought would prompt a public outcry, and instead the revelations were met with silence. For example, documents from the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, emails from former Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin posted to Yahoo!, and secret Scientology manuals sparked little reaction. By spring 2010, Assange had concluded that to get word out, it made sense to align with the mainstream press. So in April, he released at the National Press club in Washington, DC, a 2007 video of two US Apache helicopter pilots allegedly executing people on the ground in Iraq, including two Reuters correspondents. The helicopter video got attention, but much of it focused on Assange’s clumsy packaging and editing of the material, which he dubbed “Collateral Murder.” 

Then in late May, Assange vanished. The reason soon emerged. The story did not attract much media attention, but the Pentagon on May 26 had arrested US Army Private Bradley Manning, 22, on charges of illegally downloading hundreds of thousands of classified US documents, including—reports said at the time—a trove of State Department cables on Iraq and Afghanistan. Apparently, Manning may have given the documents to WikiLeaks. One of those who read a small news item on Manning’s arrest, and that the State Department was looking for Assange to question him, was veteran Guardian investigative reporter Nick Davies. Davies resolved to find Assange.

How Search Engines work?

if you need to buy a product online and you do not know the exact website that is offering the same, what will you do? Like most of the people, you will go for a search engine. And in a moment, the desired web pages will be in front of your eyes. That’s the work a search engine does. Not confining itself in just searching web pages, it also searches images, videos and lot more from the databases stored on the entire World Wide Web.

There are billions and trillions of web pages available on the World Wide Web. No doubt most of them are full of some useful information but managing all of them or accessing them in order to find the needed web page is a daunting task and so rather impractical too. On the other hand, it becomes quite easy using a search engine. Search engines are the first stop for smart internet users to find out specific information or a website. Since the last decade, with the rapidly growing volume of web pages, search engines became an inseparable part of the World Wide Web.

If you are familiar with the internet and websites, you must have used a search engine too. Typically a search engine can be defined as – “A search engine is a sophisticated piece of software that can be accessed through a web browser and by accepting a search query from its users, it results a list of web pages related to the query.” It’s the algorithms that make all these executions in a flash of a second. But the process is much more complex than it seems.

 

How Search Engines Work?

A search engine incorporates a number of processes to bring out the desired results. These processes can be majorly divided into three different tasks: 

1.      Web Crawling

Before a search engine is able to display a web page in its search result pages, it should know about that web page thoroughly. How does it know about web pages? Web crawling is the process that a search engine uses to get information about all web pages on the internet. And the part of the codes that does this is known as Spider or Crawler.

Crawlers continuously visit the web pages on the internet to get the entire content listed in the database of search engines. As there are billions of web pages, generally a search engine employ thousands of crawlers which keep visiting the whole World Wide Web day and night. By going on each web page, it reads every text from the page and stores them in a database known as search engine index.  During crawling, if any hyperlink is found then crawlers also visit that too. Hence they travel from one page to another until all the pages are crawled. In fact they never stop and revisit the pages to search any updates on the old pages.

When search engine crawlers visit an html page, they store all the texts (except the frequently used words like a, an, the, is, on, at, etc.) of the web page in to the index. Generally these two things are stored:

·         What text were found on the page

·        The corresponding Link of the webpage where that keyword were found.

Crawlers give much significance to the keywords that were found in the Title, Meta Tags of the web page.

2.      Indexing

After crawlers finish the crawling, they store the information from web pages in a repository known as Index. This process is generally referred as indexing. An index is the database which is used to provide the search results. It stores the keywords and the links of the web pages where that keyword was found. For example suppose that there are 4 keywords that were found on the 5 web pages. Then in a simplest form they will be stored something like this:

Where 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are the URLs of web pages.

Now if a user searches the term dog in the search engine then the web pages 1, 3 & 5 will be displayed in the search result page, where their order will be depend on the various factors including the frequency of keywords in the web pages.

To avail better results to its users, search engines stores more information about web pages than just keywords and the web pages. They can also store the frequency of the keywords they found, location of the keyword in the page, links of the web page associated with that keyword on other pages, etc. Each time a web page is crawled, the index is refreshed.

3.      Responding a Query

On searching just a simple keyword or a combination of keywords (called key-phrase), the entire index is checked to find out the associated web pages with the keyword/phrase. Web pages are sorted in an order of their corresponding weightage. Every search engine applies different criteria to determine the weightage hence every search engine displays different results for a similar query. Search engine also facilitate you to make more complex search queries by using the following Boolean operations:

·         AND – All the terms associated with ‘AND’ operation must appear in a web pages.

·         QUOTATION MARKS – A search term in quotation marks is treated as a complete phrase and in response to such a query, web pages that directly include that complete phrase are displayed.

·         OR – One of the terms joined with ‘OR’ operation should appear in the web pages.

·         NOT – NOT is used to display web pages without the term connected with the NOT operation.

·         FOLLOWED BY – The searched term must be followed by the other one.

Factors affecting Search Results:

A search engine display search engine result pages (commonly called SERPs) according to its Index. URLs stored in higher position in the index are displayed on higher rank in SERPs. Different search engines decide the index positions using different criteria; however these are some common factors that most of the search engine uses to decide the index positions:

·         Domain name is an important factor for all search engines. If the searched key phrase matches with a domain name, that page is indexed on higher position corresponding to that keyword/key phrase.

·         Web Pages with the searched term in its Page Title are stored on higher positions.

·         Crawler search the term in the URL itself and if found then its increase wightage for that web page.

·         Searched term in meta description, meta keywords & content.

·         Back links (A web page’s links found on other web pages) of the web pages.

2.      Search Engines frequently change their algorithms in order to provide quality sites at the top.

5.      85% users do not see after 1^st page.

6.      The first result gets an average of 50% traffic, second gets 15-20% and tenth gets only 2-3% of the total traffic.

Chappal marungi! A new campaign against eve-teasing:

Mumbai:  As part of their unique 'Chappal Marungi' campaign, BMM students at Wilson College are encouraging victims of eve teasing to strike back at molesters.

Within a month of its commencement, the one-of-a-kind campaign, spearheaded by media students of Wilson College, had enjoyed unprecedented popularity.

Six hundred people have expressed their willingness to create awareness of the drive on social networks. The campaigners aim to teach women how to fight against harassment.

The campaign is the brainchild of five business media and management (BMM) students -- Alisha Sharma, Shasvathi Siva, Abhishek Lamba, Malavika Mohanan and Bhavya Pandit -- who have come up with the unique concept as part of their media-planning project.

The campaign encourages women to beat down harassment, quite literally, with their chappals. Promoting the campaign, students can be seen with cutouts of chappals in their hands. They have also placed boxes full of chappals around the college premises.

Asserting that the professors of the college were equally supportive of the cause, Hanif Lakdawala, media planning professor of the college, said, "The objective is to teach students social etiquettes. 'Chappal marungi' is a wonderful initiative to teach girls not to tolerate eve teasing and raise their voice against it."

The catchy name of the campaign has managed to create a buzz in the campus. Alisha Sharma, a team member said, "A chappal is symbolic of a weapon and since women can relate to it, it has become even more powerful."

The students also feel that the issue of eve teasing is not taken seriously enough. Boys in the college have lent equal support to it. Abhishek Lamba, another team member, said, "I cannot stand eve teasing and through this project we also aim to tell women to protect their rights and fight for themselves."

This campaign has also received a lot of attention on the social networking site, as over 600 people have 'liked' their Facebook page. Students of BMM and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) at Sydenham and UPG colleges have also adopted the project as a case study.

Explaining the importance of such projects, Professor Lakdawala said, "This is the time for students to give something back to the society. With this exercise, they will learn the power of mass media."

The campaigners have also put up a 5-ft tall model as a chappal, perhaps a toungue-in-cheek warning to potential molesters, of what lies in store for them.
